Day Long Trauma Workshop
Education & Empowerment | Healing the Past | Thriving as you Move Forward
Wednesday, October 22 | 12:00–5:30 pm
This self and professional development workshop offers a grounded introduction to trauma and the nervous system. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of how trauma impacts the body and mind, and learn evidence-informed tools to support regulation.
Together we’ll explore what trauma actually is — not just as an event, but as an experience held in the nervous system — and learn practical tools to support regulation, safety, and resilience.
Through lecture, guided discussion, and experiential learning, attendees will explore:
What is trauma? — current definitions and frameworks for understanding trauma as both psychological and physiological experience
The autonomic nervous system — an overview of stress responses, Polyvagal Theory, and how safety and connection emerge in the body
Self-regulation and co-regulation — identifying activation and employing somatic tools to restore balance
Practical application — integrating trauma-informed awareness into clinical or coaching practice
Through teaching, gentle experiential practices, and guided reflection, you’ll learn to:
Understand how the nervous system responds to stress and overwhelm
Recognize your own unique regulation patterns
Learn tools to self-soothe, ground, and return to presence
Build capacity to stay connected — to yourself, others, and life
This day-long immersion is ideal for anyone seeking to understand themselves more deeply, for healers and helpers wanting a trauma-informed foundation, or for anyone ready to move from survival to aliveness.
No prior experience is needed — just curiosity and care for your own unfolding.
